About
Home is more than just the place where you were born—it's a feeling we carry with us, a connection to places, people, and moments that bring us comfort. But what happens when we leave everything familiar behind and step into the unknown?
This project explores how migrant women from different countries adapt to life in Kraków, one of Poland's most diverse cities. Through their personal stories, we discover how they rebuild a sense of home abroad.
Stories
The stories were collected during an anthropological fieldwork with the help of interviews and walks around the city. Each story is connected to a specific place in Krakow — a park, a bookstore, or a café — that has helped the migrant women feel at home. Together, these locations form a kind of an emotional map, showing how a new city can slowly become yours through small but meaningful connections.

You can explore these stories in 2 different ways: by reading the texts below👇or by "going" for a virtual walk around Krakow 👉 here
